In the upper room, on the night before His crucifixion, Jesus gives His disciples words of comfort: He promises to send them another Helper - the Holy Spirit.
It is important for us to know that the Holy Spirit is not simply a power, an influence, or a source of spiritual gifts. He is God with us and God in us - a person who wants to be known, loved, and welcomed into our everyday lives. Jesus promises that the Spirit will come to live within those who love Him, transforming us from the inside out and teaching us to experience the grace of Jesus, the love of the Father, and fellowship with God.
This sermon is an invitation to move beyond simply knowing about the Holy Spirit and to know Him as a friend and daily companion.
